Word of The Year -2013

December 30th, 2012 | Posted by Sandy Garrett in Organization

Every year about this time, I notice that several bloggers choose a ‘word of the year’ instead of making New Year’s resolutions.  I have never been much for New Year’s resolutions and I thought the concept of choosing a ‘word of the year’ was a great idea, but just never got around to doing it.

This year, Layla from The Lettered Cottage, invited us to join her.  She explained the concept of choosing a word of the year.

“New to the ‘Word of the Year’ concept but want to give it a whirl? Just choose one word that has the potential to inspire you and create intention in your life, and have fun incorporating it into your thoughts and goals all year long!”

So I thought – why not.  It didn’t take me long to decide on my one word for the year.  The word I chose is – Organized.

It’s the perfect word for me right now.  The first of this month marked one year since we moved and we aren’t even close to being settled.  In fact, I feel like my whole life is in disarray.

I’m really hoping by focusing on being organized in all areas of my life that by the end of next year, I will be able to say that I am happier and more at peace with myself.

How about you?  Would you like to join us in choosing a word of the year to inspire and motivate you?
