Here in the Pacific Northwest warmer weather and summer are slow in coming and especially so this year. I kept looking at our front deck and thinking I should spruce things up for summer, but it’s hard to get motivated when it’s still cold and rainy.
Well, the Summer Decks and Porches Party over at Savvy Southern Style was just what I needed. I was able to get everything put together in time for the party and the first day of summer. And I was so surprised when I woke up this morning and we not only had sun, but warmer weather. It actually felt like summer!
The hanging flower basket was my first try at making one myself. They were selling for $24.00 and I got the materials for this one for $10.00.

Suzy decided to spend a little time under the table where she can enjoy the shade.
I’m so glad I decided to get everything set up on the deck. We have really been enjoying it. One of our favorite things to do is eat dinner on the patio table and then sit and visit and enjoy the summer evenings.

Pam & Tauja – Thanks! We have really been enjoying it. Mr. CSD and I like to eat dinner out there. Pam – Suzy’s sister, Callie looks a lot like her too, except her coloring is lighter, mostly grey.
